Grant Request Guidelines
Our Mission
Jingled Elves, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission of providing funds to charities focused on improving the lives of women and/or children in Collier County, Florida.
Who can apply
The Jingled Elves Grants Committee (JEGC) will accept and review applications from nonprofit tax-exempt qualified organizations under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, serving women and/or children based in Collier County, Florida.
Applicants must be nominated by a paid registered Jingled Elves participant or sponsor, also known as “the nominator”. Each nominator is limited to nominating only one organization.
Guidelines
Funding requested must be for a specific, defined project supporting women and/or children.
All applications must be submitted in their completed form by October 9, 2023. Further information may be requested by the JEGC.
The JEGC will review all applications which may include onsite visits and requests for additional information. The JEGC will then determine a slate of appropriate charities that best support the Jingled Elves mission. With Jingled Elves Board approval, the slate will be put forth to registered Jingled Elves participants and sponsors for a vote. Voting will take place from November 1- 8, 2023. The number of charities to be awarded grant money and the amounts each will receive is determined by the Board each year.
Grant Recipient Notification & Expectations
Grant recipients will be announced in November with specific grant amounts determined and distributed in January of the following year.
Charities receiving grants will have until December 31st of the grant award year to utilize the money. The JEGC will follow up with the recipients for updates on their projects and will require a written report outlining the status of the award money submitted by September 1st of the year of the grant.
Grant recipients will agree to list Jingled Elves as a donor on all promotional pieces in the current year of the grant award.
Jingled Elves, Inc. has the right to rescind the award money and request reimbursement of the funds if not in accordance with Jingled Elves guidelines. The JEGC has the right to recommend to the Board to exclude a charity from future applications.
